About the Role

As a Software Engineering Intern at Lupyd, you will work on production code and learn systems engineering. You will contribute to frontend features, help maintain backend services in Rust and TypeScript, and collaborate with engineers across the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and polish frontend features using TypeScript, React, and CSS.
  • Assist in designing, debugging, and testing backend endpoints in Rust or Node.js.
  • Write clean, well-tested code and participate in peer code reviews.
  • Identify edge cases, resolve bugs, and optimize web performance.
  • Build internal testing utilities and documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Foundational knowledge of computer science concepts (data structures, algorithms, databases).
  • Hands-on experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, or backend languages (Rust, Go, Python, or Node.js).
  • Experience building personal projects or contributing to open-source software.
  • Familiarity with Git and basic RESTful API design.
  • Strong willingness to learn and work independently in a remote team.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Exposure to Rust or real-time communication protocols (WebSockets).
  • Understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL).
  • Personal projects or open-source repositories.
